I continue to research the Union Cavalry during the year of 1863.

My current project, the Battles of Aldie, Middleburg and Upperville, will cover the period from June 10 to June 27, 1863.  I will be grateful for any material, Union or Confederate, related to the battles of Aldie, Middleburg and Upperville, or to other events in Loudoun and Fauquier Counties during this time period.

I have also agreed to help a good friend complete a regimental history of the 8th Illinois Cavalry, and would, likewise, be grateful for any material on that regiment.

Finally, I retain my interest in the Michigan Cavalry Brigade.
