I published my first magazine article, “Thoroughfare Gap: A Passage of Blood and Regrets, ” in 1986 in Virginia Country’s Civil War Quarterly.
I have published three feature articles in Blue & Gray Magazine. The most recent, ” Rosebud: Civil War Rivals George Crook and George Custer, and the Beginning of the Great Sioux War, 1876,” was published in 2015.
Other articles have been published in Gettysburg Magazine, North & South and Research Review, The Journal of the Little Big Horn Associates.
My first book, The Cavalry Battles of Aldie, Middleburg and Upperville, Small But Important Riots was published in 1993, by H. E. Howard, as a part of his Virginia Battles and Leaders Series.
My second book, Chasing Jeb Stuart and John Mosby, The Union Cavalry in Northern Virginia from Second Manassas to Gettysburg, was published in 2012.
